{"id":32,"date":"2010-10-11T10:04:49","date_gmt":"2010-10-11T10:04:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/?p=32"},"modified":"2010-10-11T10:04:49","modified_gmt":"2010-10-11T10:04:49","slug":"hello-and-welcome-to-the-new-el-galleon-and-asia-divers-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiadivers.com\/cnt\/blog\/hello-and-welcome-to-the-new-el-galleon-and-asia-divers-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Hello and welcome to the new El Galleon and Asia Divers Blog."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In recent months there have been some major changes going on, both to our resort and to our web site.<\/p>\n<p>The changes to our Web site have been extensive and this Blog has been introduced to help keep you informed of special offers and deals you can enjoy.\u00a0 We are launching the blog with a free draw to win 3 nights accommodation at El Galleon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To enter the draw simply add this feed to your e-mail program <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/feed\/\">http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/feed\/<\/a>\u00a0and send an e-mail to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:admin@asiadivers.com\/cnt\">blog@asiadivers.com\/cnt<\/a> \u00a0The winner will be picked at random and the results published here on November 15th.<\/p>\n<p>September saw the completion of our new pier and dive storage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/P9180043-12001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35\" title=\"P9180043-1200\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/P9180043-12001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This was a major undertaking and took many months of construction. The decking itself has been made to perform a dual purpose. By day the pier functions as a dive station with storage for 100 peoples clothes and accessories in the dive store, whilst on the outside deck there are wash tanks for wet suits and gear, mobile racks to dry wet suits and a a filling station for dive tanks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/P9180026-8001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38\" title=\"P9180026-800\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/P9180026-8001.jpg\" alt=\"Asia Divers dive store for diving gear.\" width=\"800\" height=\"599\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although tanks can now be charged on the pier, the compressor with it&#8217;s attendant noise is where it has always been, back on the shore.<\/p>\n<p>The first hint as to the full function of the pier decking comes when you see that along the edge of the pier, sections can be lifted to provide sun loungers, where you can relax and soak up the sun.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_39\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/P9180037-800.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39\" title=\"P9180037-800\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.asiadivers.com\/cnt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/P9180037-800.jpg\" alt=\"Sun loungers on the beach resort pier.\" width=\"800\" height=\"599\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-39\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Life at El Galleon is fun<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Closer inspection shows that entire sections of the pier can be raised to create tables.
