This is a bit of a tough one for me to write as I almost can’t believe that Jos Van de Giesen is leaving! Jos has been diving with Asia Divers for over eight years and has done many courses and 565 dives with us! I have great memories of finding the Rhinopias and Hairy frog fish on a couple of very special dives that we did together. We’ve often had some good luck dives! We will all miss you lots and wish you all the best in Norway. Better get a dry suit!!

Last night was a celebration for our three new PADI Divemasters whome were all under the wing of Pete for the past while. Mike and Marecella Cooper have been here for over one month while Ray Villemarette took the bull by the horns and did it short time! In end they all left here as new PADI Divemasters with perhaps a wee bit of a headache this morning…

Great to see Dave Lee get his 100^th dive t-shirt this weekend, especially considering that most of those dives have been done here with us and with Sabine Henkel.

A great time was had by all this past week as our group of 23 people from “Underwater Sports” in Australia enjoyed their time in Puerto Galera. As usual they got to see some fantastic stuff underwater but they also got to see the finer points of the Point! We’ve enjoyed having you guys here and look forward to seeing you again. Special thanks to David and Jolie Gordon for making this happen.

Congratulations to Reto Cadalbert who is our newest PADI Pro. Reto came here earlier in the year for a diving holiday and loved it so much that he decided to do his Divemaster course with us.

What a great time for the whole gang who came in for AMI’s reunion from all over Asia! This fine tradition has been going on for many years and we hope to see you all back next year. Thanks to Bonnie and Adrian Chedore got it all organized. There was a good combination of diving for some, hanging out on the beach for many, and of course spending lots of time at The Point for everyone. El Galleon put on a very special 60’s night on the Platform complete with the El Galleon Dancers, and a very talented fire dancer, and even with a wee bit of rain the night went off with a bang and everyone got into the spirit and partied the night away.

Lindsay Beer who happens to be a cousin of Allan’s has discovered many fine things about Puerto Galera and diving is one of them! Alli took Lindsay through the DSD program and of course made sure he was topped off with just the right set of ears!

Congratulations to Matt Hubball who completed his EFRI! He is now able to teach people the all important life saving skills necessary to be an emergency first responder. (and play with dolls!)
